Iron Chef 2016/ Thanksgiving
Another year and another champion... of course not everyone can be on the winning team. So yet again I was on a very competitive but very second place team. Thankfully the fun is in the process and not the prize... although I keep wondering what it will feel like to win because its been so long I forget. Shayna seemed to like it a lot. Trace also was a champion, of the kids circuit. Thanksgiving at great grandma Nelson's was complete with a piƱata for the kids and an easter egg and tablecloth giveaway- she's downsizing. During the weekend, the girls made pecan rolls and the boys loaded into the motor home to go to sportsman warehouse in Provo. The 30 minute drive was bearable since we were able to play texas hold em and sit in recliners. My dad will take any excuse to go motorhoming.
Tucker is 2!
He's getting to the age where he thinks presents and parties are fun... but the thing he had the most fun with at his party was lighting and blowing out candles. He's our sweet little buddy. He is a daddy's boy. We love his simple nature.
Halloween
Green Ninja turned Darth Vader, Cinderella, a fox, a raccoon... and a pregnant woman. Our first halloween in the "big" city was a success. Trick or treating, drive through burritos, and crashing uncle Joe and Jerika's romantic candy distributing- we had a full night. Oh yeah... and we live in Utah... so... it was freezing!
Fall AZ Trip
Another trip without dad... This is becoming the trend... thank goodness Shayna is a fearless pregnant woman- and braves 10hr drives with 3 kids out of the womb and 1 in. Again, I wasted my melancholy in fake ice cream and movies with amazing dialogue. Sunset Boulevard was especially memorable. As always, they had so much fun they didn't want to come home. Tucker's lymphatic malformation had become very large and painful at this point, and they returned home a few days early so I could help comfort him.
Andrea & Adam's Wedding
A match made in heaven- we're pretty sure thats true. Andrea and Adam have both been preparing and waiting for this day- we were blessed to get to know Adam and become closer to Andrea prior to this which made this day even sweeter for us. They are two people with a sweetness, sticktoitiveness, and commitment to the gospel that is unique. She looked beautiful, he looked handsome, they both looked so ready for each other- such a beautiful day!
