Tracer boy is 3!!

Our Tracer is getting older! His vocabulary surprises us daily, and usually for the better. He is braver than one of his parents when gathering eggs (he pats the chickens on their head before taking their eggs without worrying that he might get pecked). For his birthday he got a leatherman and a bow and arrow; he's a great shot and almost rendered his mother blind last week. Trace loves to race dragons around the driveway and do underdoggies on the swings. He's a true friend... we always know that he will want to be right by our sides wherever we go. Happy Birthday little Tracer, 3 Years old already!

4th of July/Grammy & Papa visit

We were blessed to have Kraig and Ronda with us over the 4th of July on their way back from Washington. We began the day be shocking our GI tracts with the infamous scout breakfast. Our drive up little valley was a blast and was very bumpy. There were streams to wade in, shade to nap in, and an assortment of random snacks. Grandma Nelson had called a few days before the 4th to let us know that she would send her wrath our way if we didn't have the flagpole up that she had bought us 5 years before. So in honor of the 4th, and to avoid a wrath I have never witnessed but always feard, we got the cement poured on the 3rd and the pole up by early evening on the 4th. A BBQ and fireworks were a perfect way to round the evening off. We`re grateful that Ronda and Kraig were so willing to work in the garden with us. Kraig even fixed a tiller that had been stalled outside for 2 winters.
