We rushed out the door after some last minute banner making and hair styling to make it to the annual 24th of July Wallsburg parade. We met up with Joe and hopped aboard his new tracor to help distribute candy to the masses. Trace and Drayke were no respector of persons, animals, or inanimate objects. Each bystander (whether 1 day old or 100 years old) recieved a chance to duck while candy was hurled at them. The dogs, cats, and irrigation ditches were equally supplied. Following the parade there was plenty of simple carbohydrates to go around. Highlights of the rodeo included Trace braving the mechanical bull... multiple times and Joe winning the hide race. We love living in Wallsburg!

Bear Lake/Cousins visit
This year Sunde and the 4 cousins were able to come to bear lake with us for 3 days. As always the water was cold, the sunsets were picture worthy, and we spent a lot of time on the beach and lawn. The endless supply of slivers and mosquito bites were minimal next to the hot tubing, boating, swinging, and camp fires we had. Shay, the kids and I spent our nights in our tent- the kids slept great and we're growing attached to our rugged home-away-from-home each time we use it. My mom never dissapoints when it comes to food- we ate well, and even enjoyed some rasberry shakes.
