Arizona Christmas 2013

We loved our two weeks on the farm despite being sick the entire time. There was a cornucopia of illnesses that we all shared. On top of Trace being sick, he was also homesick. He wouldn't let us away from his side, and was attached to either my or Shayna's hip for the majority of the time. Honey on the other hand, fell in love with Nefi. She didn't want to be held by either of us when he was in the room. Kraig and Craig were also high on her list.
Thankfully we had warm weather for the most part, and we got to enjoy Summer and Craig's newly landscaped yard.
The live nativity prepared us for Christmas day- this was my first time being on the farm for the Nativity and I have to say I have been missing out! I was told that this was a very simple rendition of the farm nativity, but to me it was extravagant (there were as many cast as their were audience).
Christmas Eve was memorable. Among other things, Scarlet had 3 febrile seizures and since they were getting closer together Sunde and Nefi took her into the ER in Prescott. After a transfer to Phoenix and a lot of tests, they were able to come home Christmas Evening. We waited on presents until they got home- I think we focussed a little more on what matters while we waited anxiously for Scarlet to come home.
We ate lots of good food, including: Sushi, crepes, a Phillipino dinner, and 2 nights of Chopped cuisine. In the tradition of visiting the farm, I had to kidnap Shayna so she would come with me back to Wallsburg with me. She and her family are so close, 2 week stints will never be enough time for them to spend with each other. We already had our next trip planned out before we left. We are blessed to have wonderful families on each side!
