Some people are family because of the relationship and not the blood. Katie and Danny Stites are our kids 3rd set of grandparents... their mamaw and papaw... our southern blood. They drive the 1600 miles to see us, and always bring their drawl and hugs. Touring temple square and going out to eat were just side notes to the catching up and closeness we enjoyed while they were here. Shayna was honored to have them here over her birthday... and Katie always brings Dirt Cheap goods with her, so it felt like it was all of our birthdays. We hope we get to surprise them with a visit from us before they make the trek out west again. What big hearts our southern friends have!
